If I had my way, I would live in a climate where I could wear my Keen Newports or go barefoot 365 days a year. Not having my way, about now my feet are getting cold. What to wear when the weather is too cold, wet or snowy for sandals, but not cold or wintery enough for boots? How about these Merrell Thermo Arc Crystal Waterproof slip-on shoes?
The review goes like this:
These slip on shoes are supposed to be waterproof, and I can believe it although I have not had opportunity yet to test it. They fit well. When slipped on I have to do a little adjusting to the shoe or the heel feels like it is caving in, but once adjusted, they do not slip off, my heel is kept snugly in the shoe which is good for walking. The shoes have a generous toe box. There is a lot of arch support, probably more than I need which is why I think they are only of medium comfort. Still, I can comfortably wear them to walk the dog or take a lunch time walk. They are very warm which is great, but they can get too warm indoors. So far, I would rate these at a 6.5, but may have to revisit this once they are further broken in.
