Review # 59: Burpee Garden Bean Tenderpod Bush Bean

Last year we grew these beans in our raised square foot garden and they were so tasty that they rarely made it in to the house. My children, grandchildren, pool guests and I would eat them raw as soon as they were picked. In hopes of having some to freeze, I tried growing a second crop of them, but one day it was discovered that an insect had eaten through every leaf, every bean and so that was that.
This summer I bought the same variety, planted double the amount as last year and again had a very abundant and delicious crop.

The review goes like this:

This is a bush bean, so no trellis is necessary. I planted 9 plants per square foot and each plant produced abundantly. The green beans are crispy and very tasty both raw and cooked. I was able to blanch and freeze some, and re-cooked they retain their good taste. These beans are stringless and very tender. Like last year I put in a second crop, unlike last year these are doing well, currently they are flowering and just starting to produce beans.
Highly recommend - 10.
