Review # 57: Lands End Beach Living Dot Tankini Top

This year Lands End offered this tankini top as part of their "Beach Living" collection. I bought it before I went on a week long beach trip, and it has been my go-to top for swimming and playing in the pool this summer.

The review goes like this:

This particular top is black with white dots. It has a bow underneath the bust. The material is substantial, the top has underwire, but it is not annoying at all, stays in place  and is surprisingly comfortable.
The back comes up fairly high and the straps in the back are straight, although you can change it to criss-cross if desired.
The fit is modest and tank top like. I am 5'7" and the regular length is long enough to completely cover my stomach. Whether pool swimming or playing in the ocean waves, the top stays in place - no constant tugging or worrying about it.
Although  normally a polka dot loving person, paired with a solid bathing suit bottom*, I think this top is quite cute.
The suit came in five colors, and this suit, as all Lands End suits that I have ever tried, runs a little on the big side, so you may need a smaller size than what you might normally wear.
As for the negatives, the top does not dry as quickly as I would like, not as terrible as some I have had, but still a little bit of a negative. The straps occasionally twist and again, while not a terrible issue, might be worth mentioning. After every machine wash, the removable bra lining gets bunched up and displaced and is very difficult to get back to its original position. This was such a problem that I eventually just pulled them out forever.
Overall I have been happy with this top. I rate it a 9 for a good combination of fit, looks, and functionality.

* Unless you are under 10 years old, do not pair this with the polka dot bottom. It is not a good look. Not at all.
