Review # 51: Dollar Tree Book Light

A Tale of Three Book Lights: Part 1

When I mentioned I might like to get a book light for my Kindle, my daughter told me to check out the local dollar store.  Sure enough, there were two types of book lights in a variety of colors.
This review is for the book light pictured to the left.

The review goes like this:

This LED book light clipped on to book or kindle jacket. It came with a watch type battery already installed and worked right out of the package. It had a flexible goose-neck. It cost a dollar and seemed just the right thing. That is until the first time I tried to turn it off and the switch came loose within the light. It took quite a lot of maneuvering to switch it off. Nevertheless, I was able to use it for about two weeks, until I tried to take the casing apart to see if I could fix the switch. I could not.

$ 1 for two weeks worth of light and a fight with the switch every time it was used. How can I rate that? Maybe a 1.

That stinks! I was hoping it was a 10. A 10 for $1 would be the best deal ever. :)
